How does it work?
We have made it very simple to use. To make an order enter your postcode and this displays a list of all the takeaways that deliver to you. You then click on a takeaway of your choice and browse through the menu adding any items you wish which will appear in the basket on the right hand side. To finish you click checkout then enter your details, choose your address and pay either by card or cash. We do the rest.
How do I pay?
At the checkout page you will be given the option to pay by Credit/Debit card online or in cash when the delivery driver arrives at your door (or when you collect in person).
Do you charge additional fees/surcharges to pay by Card?
No absolutely not. Scoffable is a free service and you will not pay any additional fees/surcharges to use your Credit/Debit card if you so wish.
Is paying with my credit card secure?
Yes, we use SSL to encrypt all information during transmission to and from our servers. This means that your card details (and other personal details) cannot be intercepted by a third party. Look for the green extended validation bar and padlock in your web browser.
I’m struggling to use the site, can I get some help?
Of course, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you / answer any questions you may have. There is a link to contact us at the bottom of every page.
I can’t find my favourite takeaway, will you be adding them?
We are always looking to expand our selection to give you a greater choice, however if there is one in particular you would like to see online please contact us and we will do our best to sign them up.
I placed a cash order, but meant to pay with my card, what do I do?
Please contact the takeaway directly using the number provided in your confirmation E-Mail and let them know that you intend to place another order using your credit/debit card. The first cash order will be cancelled.
Why should I use Scoffable?
Scoffable is the fast and easy way to order from your takeaway. We allow you to browse quickly all the takeaways that deliver in your area with the best offers and the most up to date prices.
My order is late or has not arrived, who do I contact?
If your order is late or hasn't arrive we would advise you contact the takeaway directly as they will be able to give you the most up-to-date status of your order. All contact details for the takeaway will be detailed in your confirmation email.
Why should I register with your site?
You will be given the option to register upon placing your first order (just choose a password on the checkout page). Becoming a registered user will provide additional benefits to improve your experience on Scoffable. Registered users will have their personal details automatically filled in for future orders and you can review and re-order your previous orders easily.
Do I need to register to use Scoffable?
Absolutely not, you can place an order without registering. You will be given the option to register upon placing your first order, but you are under no obligation to do so.
How do I register?
You will be given the option to register upon placing your first order. It is not possible to register before placing an order, as this wouldn't provide any benefit.
Where can I find the phone number for a takeaway?
Contact details for the takeaway will be provided in your order confirmation E-Mail.
My order status reads 'Delivered' but I haven't received my order yet?
This means that your order has been received successfully by the takeaway. It is not an indication that the order has been physically delivered to your address.
Are the prices higher on Scoffable?
No, Scoffable is a completely free service, you pay exactly the same amount as you would over the phone. Infact, most takeaways charge an additional surcharge when you pay with your Credit/Debit card over the phone so you will likely save money (we don't charge any Card fees / surcharges when you pay online).
