Privacy Policy

The privacy policy is provided by Scoffable. It explains all matters related to the personal and financial data used by Scoffable. Scoffable complies with the 'Data Protection Act’ of 1998. The company regards the privacy rights of its customers as and we consider the security of the information provided by users as a major responsibility and take all necessary steps to protect this information.

Your Personal Information

Scoffable takes all available measures to protect your data and declares it will only be used for Scoffable’s use in transferring the orders to the restaurants; we do not provide any of your personal details to any third parties.

Personal information required during the order process: name, address, telephone number, email address and other similar information, this data is only used to identify you and complete your order. The e-mail addresses collected by Scoffable are used solely for our own use for customer’s username login purposes and for contacting customers with news and offers.

Visitors to the website that do not wish to disclose their personal details can still browse the website and view the menus of all restaurants it is however not possible to place an order without these details; name, address, e-mail address and telephone number is needed.

Your Financial Details

For every order placed online Scoffable gives the customer two different payment methods. If a customer chooses to pay online via a credit or debit card (provided that the chosen restaurants accepts this method of payment) in order to pay the customer’s needs to choose or type the following information: card type, card number, CCV number, start date, expiry date and billings address (if it is different from the delivery address). No member of Scoffable has any access to a customer's card details. Furthermore no financial information of any kind is forwarded to the restaurant.

Scoffable does not store any card details in database. These policies ensure that customers can order in complete confidence of the security of their financial details.

We take authorised payment from the buyer directly on behalf of certain vendors; this avoids the passing of credit card details and is there more secure. Scoffable does not store any credit card details, the whole service is provided via a specialised card processing company and our database is encrypted for maximum security and transmitted using the highest level of security.

Changes

The privacy policy may be updated or changed at any time without notice, it is the customer’s responsibility to check periodically to review any changes made. The privacy policy was last updated on the 17th August 2009
