This is the second time weve ordered from online from Hook, although weve bought directly from the shop several times before. Usually the fish is good, however tonight one of the fish was mostly batter - in fact the batter on the underside was horribly hard/tough, so I had to just pull it away - and either end of the fish was all batter with what appeared to be no fish inside - overall there was hardly any fish and definitely not a supper worth £10.

Out order arrived quickly and was still hot and fresh from the fryer

Once again Hook come up trumps. Order was delivered in very short order (which, believe me, is always the key to wanting to use a food takeaway service again) and the food was great. Ordered 2 sausage suppers and a single special haddock. The chips out of Hook have always been good but recently particularly so.So good that I am even prepared to forego the fact they missed out on the pickled onion I ordered. That's 30p you owe me Hook! 😁

Order was left in porch without any indication that it had been delivered. No knock on door, no phone call, did not ring doorbell. I suppose we might have discovered it before it went cold, Too bad.
